Meet The Staff

Program Director

Donny Vitucci, B.S.; M.Ed.

Donny, born to second generation Italian background, resided in the municipalities of the Bronx, Westchester County, New Jersey, and New York City. Prior to relocating in South Florida, he lived and worked in New York City as well as West New York, in New Jersey.

After 4-1/2 years of sober clean time in the fellowships, at the age of fifty-three, Donny made a purposeful decision finishing a long-term aspiration of achieving a Bachelor Degree, and subsequently, entered Florida Atlantic University in January of 2006. Donny studied enthusiastically, and then matriculated to Nova Southeastern University eight-months later. Finally, in May of 2008, he graduated with a Bachelor in Science. Afterward, he proceeded through post-bachelor coursework in the medical sciences, nearing a doctorate in medicine. Not able to finish his PhD in medicine; he did receive a Masters in Education from Concordia University, at Portland, Oregon, in 2015 with a concentration in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Education, Mathematics).

On July 15, 2016, his long-standing vision of aiding other alcoholics and addicts became a reality: Donny opened Halfway-To-Heaven Sober Living Community, in Delray Beach, Florida. Donny states, “It has always been a vision of mine to aid others as I have been aided, standing blessed by God on June 1, 2001”, his sober and clean date. “Living life on Gods terms and not my terms positioned and transformed the manner of my actions as well as my thoughts since the first meeting in the fellowships.” Donny states, “It stands an honor to be able to do what I do.”
